I feel like a crazy person on the street yelling incoherently about how much I like the new Star Trek trailer, because I might be the only one. This is pretty simple – I love the new Star Trek series. The complaints for Into Darkness are based on pure Star Trek reasons, not movie reasons. While Rotten Tomatoes isn’t the end all be all, the fact it holds an 87% does lend credence to my theory. At this point, you’re either in or out. But if you want to denounce the entire movie because they play “Sabotage” in the trailer, then go right ahead. Going from J.J. Abrams to Justin Lin isn’t exactly my dream scenario, but the chemistry among the cast looks as great as ever from the trailer. I can’t wait to see where this goes, even if I’m the only one in the theater.
