Taking Back Sunday’s Annual Holiday Spectacular “Sleighs” Sayreville Audience

Pop-Break Live: Taking Back Sunday, Gates, Acceptance at The Starland Ballroom

Taking Back Sunday’s third annual Holiday Spectacular took place on the weekend of December 16 and 17 a The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. This annual Christmas tradition always packs a crowd, and this year it was no different. The Pop Break was lucky enough to shoot the sold-out show on Saturday December 17. We were told the Friday December 16 show was amazing — and featured killer sets from The Starting Line, and longtime friends of The Pop Break, Modern Chemistry. The Saturday show was filled with killer sets from Jersey’s own Gates, and Acceptance.

The main event of the evening, and the reason the house was jamming, was emo superheroes, Taking Back Sunday. Adam Lazzara and the boys ripped through the band’s hits like “Timberwolves at New Jersey.” “MakeDamnSure,” and “Cute with the E (Cut from the Team).”

Pop-Break’s Al Mannarino caught the bands in action.
