Review: Regression #4

In issue #3 we saw that Adrian was still losing grips on reality. His hallucinations and nightmares were no longer hallucination, but reality. At times Adrian loses full control as another entity inside him drives his meat suit. And, to make matters worse it looked like he was about to hurt the one person that has tried her best to help him from the start, Molly. That’s where this issue picks up.

Ok, so spoiler for issue #3, but the entity in Adrian murdered Annie. I really hope that if you’re reading this current review that you’ve been keeping up. Anyway, “Adrian” is taunting Molly as she hides and tries to make a dash for the phone to call the police. Just as she picks up the phone “Adrian” finds her and slams it down while saying some unsavory things. Molly is no fool, and kicks him straight in the balls while picking up the phone to get help.

Molly kicked Adrian hard enough to knock him out for a moment and bring him back to being himself. He’s still covered in Annie’s blood and admits everything. That his hallucinations are real now, that he can’t control himself sometimes, and that he thinks he murdered Sid. Molly being the ever so helpful friend she is decides to help him by not calling the cops. Instead she thinks that she has another friend that can help draw the entity out. At this point, Adrian is cool with going to prison and just wants this evil gone.

Adrian and Molly set off on a road trip to find her friend. It’s clear that Molly feels responsible for waking up something inside him. As they continue on their adventure Adrian keeps seeing some terrible visions, but luckily doesn’t slip into letting the entity take full control. They do arrive at their destination and that’s as much as I’ll divulge for this issue. You’ll have to pick it up to get the gritty details.

The story has been leading us to this point from the start. Adrian very much needs more regression therapy and should have never started this without a formal plan and a professional. I don’t quite think Sid was cut out for the type of therapy Adrian needed, and should have stuck to parlor tricks. The visions and possessions have been very terrifying and interesting to follow. I wonder if Molly’s friend can do anything for Adrian at this point. 8/10 Stars.
