That’s right Al Mannarino returns to Socially Distanced after wandering the desert of Tatooine! You can also literally hear his heart break as he watches the Knicks lose to the 76ers during the podcast. On the episode, Al is joined by the host of the show — “The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia” Amanda Rivas, Pop Break’s editor-in-chief, and Jar Jar Binks enthusiast Ben Murchison.
On the episode they review The Phantom Menace, which celebrates its 25th Anniversary this week (and is being re-released in theaters). They discuss the positives of the Phantom Menace like Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor’s performances, the novel idea of Samuel L. Jackson as a Jedi and more. However, they cannot deny how bad the script is, how poorly the film’s VFX have aged, and the Jar Jar of it all.
