There is no doubt in my mind about this one. The Muppets have been ingrained in my system since childhood, and to see them return to the big screen after a long hiatus fills this geek with glee. Also, I love how the trailer was a tease in the beginning, starting off like a normal promotion for a romantic comedy, then all of a sudden, Muppets! Hopefully I can get in a midnight showing for Kermit and company’s grand return. Can you tell I’m excited? Have I scared you off? I don’t care. Nov. 23 can’t come soon enough for the fuzzy pack to start playing some music and lighting some lights.

Without a shadow of a doubt I will be in the house opening weekend to see Kermit, Fozzy and the gang back on the silver screen. The trailers that have been released are amazing, vintage Muppets — subtly and not so subtly lampooning pop culture and cinematic norms. This aspect of the Muppets has been missing since the gang took Manhattan; their last few films have been a bit of a letdown. Now with Muppet superfan Jason Segel writing and acting in the film, I think we’ll get a throwback to the classic Muppet films that the children of the ’80s fell in love with.
