pop-break previews tonight’s show from New Brunswick alt-rockers Root Glen at Langosta Lounge …
Ever wish you could see a rock ‘n’ roll show where ambient sounds mix with funk while a bear shimmies in the crowd?
Have you dreams come true tonight when Root Glen plays Langosta Lounge in New Jersey’s most storied music city, Asbury Park.
The alt-rockers — who hail from another great New Jersey music city, New Brunswick — have spent the last few years touring the northeast with their brand of trippy, funky rock.
They’ve also released a string of creative records recently: EPs featuring music relating to each season of the year. After dropping Summer, Fall and Winter, they’re not working on the Spring EP.
And yes, go to a Root Glen show, and you’re bound to meet Glen. He’s the giant bear-suited mascot that dances in the audience. You can’t miss him.
