Last Perfect Thing, a high-energy rock band that has torn up Asbury Park for years, has taken it upon themselves to give back to the community on Thanksgiving Eve. The show is called The Asbury Family Dinner and features a night of unique cuisine and live, local bands and proceeds go to charity. The even takes place every year at The Saint located on Main Street in Asbury Park.
This year, LPT will not be performing, but in their place will be Pop-Break’s own Modern Chemistry (fronted by senior writer Joe Zorzi and featuring staff writer Brendan Hourican). Joining Modern Chemistry will be The Barbaroi (making their first U.S. appearance), Secret Someone’s featuring Bess Rogers and Leila Broussard and From Ghosts (veterans of Pop-Break showcases).
The menu for the evening will be an all-vegetarian regional Indian meal prepared by Chef Dan, the man who’s been providing the dinner it’s courses for years.
The dinner and show tickets are $20 — RSVP by e-mailing Greg at Lastpt4@aol.com. If you can only make the show, tickets are $10 with music starting at 9pm. All proceeds go to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
