Directed By: Clint Eastwood

Plot: The story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.

Pre-Trailer Thoughts: A movie based on a musical directed by Dirty Harry. Could be fun. –LJF

Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Never been a Four Seasons guy. –BB

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of Five. I’ll have to admit, the commercials for the musical itself look better. The only real thing drawing me to the musical (and to a lesser degree, the the film) is the actual tunes by the Four Seasons. The rest of it just seems like it would be fit for a VH1 Behind the Music documentary, or a made for tv movie. However, I have heard the show is pretty amazing, so maybe I’m just being cynical. –LJF

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Two out of Five. Without the name Clint Eastwood attached to it and the flash of Christopher Walken, this trailer could’ve easily been for something made for HBO…or vh1…or Lifetime. Really nothing special here. –BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Theater. Despite my beef with the storyline presented, I gladly accepted to review this film for Pop-Break. Why? Well cause my girlfriend loves the musical, and I’m treating her to it, that’s why, wise guy! No but really, I’m curious to see this interpretation as it is cheaper than Broadway and Clint Eastwood knows his way around the camera. It won’t be the same siting in a movie theater compared to a stage theater. but hey, for now, it’ll have to do. I’ll be walking like a man to the cinema to see it around release date, so stay tuned for my review! –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? No Thanks. I’m sure this will be a fine movie, but I have no desire to see it. I guess I inherited my distaste for Frank Valli and The Four Seasons from my dad, so the music does nothing for me. I feel like I already know this story and I’ve seen this movie before in different versions. Maybe if this movie ends up on TV, I’ll give it a look, otherwise, I’ll pass on Jersey Boys. –BB
