Pop-Break Live: Pop-Break’s Five-Year Anniversary Party

Modern Chemistry

The headliners for a damn good reason. We gave Modern Chemistry their first show ever in 2012, and since then they have taken off to become one of the hottest and most in-demand bands out there. They’ve been hand selected to open for Taking Back Sunday (including their December date at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J.) and Frank Iero, formerly of My Chemical Romance. These guys had a tall order of performing after The Moonshines, and in my opinion, they delivered. The band was all business and absolutely melted faces. I personally enjoyed their callback to their first show with us, doing a cover of The Outfield’s “Your Love.” Luckily, this version wasn’t 15 minutes like the first show — and they even allowed me to come sing with them. That aside, Modern Chem showed off rock-star chops on Friday, and they’re going to be huge very soon.

Setlist:

Cling
