The Cosplay of New York Comic Con

New York Comic Con is as much about cosplay as it is panels, signings, and premieres (Read our senior NYCC correspondent Logan J. Fowler’s column if you don’t believe us). Every year we’re astounded by the lengths people will go to create some of the most innovative and outrageous costumes we’ve ever seen. Look at our frontpage and you’ll see people who went to insane lengths to create Lego Avengers costumes. So, during our four day run at New York Comic Con this year we decided to document our weekend in cosplay. Pictures included are of those who went to great lengths to make some amazing costumes, as well as our own staff who went all out for NYCC. Don’t believe they went all out? We point to the first photo of our managing editor Lauren Stern as Tina Belcher and her fiance, our TV editor Luke Kalamar as Jimmy Pesto Jr. Luke’s Jimmy Pesto costume went over so well that he was asked by The Bob’s Burgers panel to DANCE FOR THEM in front of a thousand people.
