Brad Pitt. Good actor, not a great one. While Pitt has certainly done some impressive work, he isn’t in that DiCaprio/Bale/Phoenix class for me, but I’m sure there are many who would put him there. I’ll say this for Brad Pitt though – he’s had one of the most inconsistent careers of any actor I can think of. This guy has done some amazing films, many of which we’ll cover in this top ten. He’s also done some of the most boring movies I’ve ever seen in my life. Spy Game. Legends of the Fall. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Seven Years in Tibet. There’s an alternate universe where I’m still watching Seven Years in Tibet. Holy Cheez-Its, that was a chore. Aside from the boring ones, there’s also Mr. & Mrs. Smith, one of the most disgusting pieces of cinema in the last ten years. And then there’s Snatch. If you really want to get me riled up, just mention that puke of a film. That movie literally gives me chest pains.
But enough about movies that make me cringe. This is a “Top 10 List,” not a “Bottom 10 List.” With Fury opening this weekend (another one that could go either way), let’s honor the good Brad Pitt. So grab a box, a bar of soap, and maybe a computer that calculates On-Base Percentage, and let’s count ’em down – the Top 10 Brad Pitt Movies!
