Press Release: Founders Entertainment is excited to announce the lineup for the 2015 Governors Ball Music Festival. The fifth annual edition of New York City’s premier live music event will celebrate a half decade of good times and great music in the Big Apple, from Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 7th in beautiful Randall’s Island Park. Aside from showcasing a wide spectrum of Dance, Indie Rock, Hip Hop, Americana, Electronica and Pop all weekend long, Governors Ball will also feature the incredible culinary options and art installations that contribute to the festival’s unique New York City vibe. 3-day GA and VIP tickets are available now on GovBall.com through Eventbrite. Full festival lineup and poster below.

Commentary: We’ve been covering Governors Ball since its inception in 2011 and every year they blow us away with the sheer magnitude of the line-ups. When you’ve got Weird Al and Bjork mixed in with Drake and Charli XCX  on a bill and it all makes beautiful sense, you know you’re in store for something special.

There are a lot of names that are newer to us this year than ever before, so we’re kinda stoked to check them out. We highly, highly recommend subscribing to the fest’s Spotify playlist to get familiar with any band you aren’t familiar with.

Check out past Pop-Break interviews with current Gov Ball performers: ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Big Gigantic , Moon Taxi, People Under the Stairs, and Royal Blood.
