Pre-Trailer Thoughts: I had not heard anything about this movie until I saw a TV spot for it. Then I became highly intrigued -LJF
Pre-Trailer Thoughts: I really like Matthew Vaughn. Stardust is great. The first Kick Ass was great. The man even saved the X-Men films with First Class. I don’t know a ton about the source material but I really appreciate a fun action movie when the normal ones get too serious and no movies are more serious now than the James Bond series. Hopefully this can keep my attention.-MK
Rate the Trailer: Four out of five. This movie looks highly stylized, almost like Vaughn took a page out of Tarantino’s Kill Bill book. Then again, Vaughn knows a bit about style, having shown it in movies like Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class. Kingsman just looks like a blast, and I was very surprised by how it just came out of nowhere. I guess that’s never a bad thing. -LJF
Rate the Trailer: Four and a half out of five. What’s not to like? I cannot get enough of everybody in this movie. Collin Firth especially looks great. He has the perfect demeanor and the action that he is involved in looks flawless. Taron Egerton also has some really funny moments. I only took off the last half star because they did show a lot of footage from what seems to be the end of the film. In case you missed it, I don’t want to spoil it but one shot specifically was something I would have rather seen first in the theater. Either way I have been hearing nothing but good things about this one so I am pumped. Hush by Kula Shaker also does a good job of livening up the end of the trailer. Previous trailers featured a bland Iggy Azalea song that really didn’t work. Glad they fixed it.-MK
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. This is a surefire rental, no doubt. While I would like to check it out in theaters, finances and time play a major part in ruling against that. But the movie does have my interest 100% and I can’t wait to check it out.-LJF
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Theater. No question. Opening weekend with a big tub of popcorn.-MK
