Twenty One Pilots Announce New Album & Tour, Drop New Single ‘Fairly Local’

With the summer music season just around the corner, some of the biggest names in music today are getting ready to release brand new music to coincide with their world tours and festival dates. Last week Muse debuted their first single off their upcoming album, Drones, and this week another band who has taken the alternative genre by storm has dropped the first bit of new music from their forthcoming LP.

Twenty One Pilots, the electronic rock duo from Ohio took to social media to share the first details about their new album and tour. Their third studio album, Blurryface is out on May 19th, and they have also revealed the music video for the first single titled, “Fairly Local.”

The video itself is on par with the type of dark and moody music videos that Twenty One Pilots has released in the past, but the song itself definitely sounds like they are trying something new with Blurryface. “Fairly Local” doesn’t pull any punches between it’s drummer Josh’ Dun bombastic drumming and singer Tyler Joseph proclaiming “this song will never be on the radio.” Although I doubt that statement to be remotely true since the song is incredibly catchy and Twenty One Pilots are played quite often on alternative radio stations. Fans should be very excited to know that their is only two more months till they get to hear new music from Twenty One Pilots.
