Initial Cast Photos for Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson Revealed
FX has revealed the initial cast photos for one of the most highly-anticipated series of 2016, American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson.
The special 10-episode, limited run series is the latest creation of uber producer Ryan Murphy, (no stranger himself to anthologies), and is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin.
The series will star: Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, American Horror Story staple Sarah Paulson as DA Marcia Clark, Billy Magnussen (Into the Woods, As the World Turns) as Kato Kaelin, Sterling K. Brown (Supernatural) as Christopher Darden and Kenneth Choi (Captain America: The First Avenger) as Judge Ito.
So far portraying Simpson’s ‘Dream Team’ of attorneys are Oscar nominee John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) as Johnny Cochrane, Friends’ David Schwimmer as Robert Shapiro and Sex & the City regular Evan Handler as Alan Dershowitz.
Others announced for the series include: Malcolm Jamal-Warner (The Cosby Show) as Al Cowling, Bruce Greenwood (Mad Men) as Gil Garcetti, Steven Pasquale (Six Feet Under) as Mark Fuhrman, Selma Blair (Hellboy) as Kris Jenner, Nashville’s Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, Jordan Brewster (Fast & Furious Franchise) as Denise Brown, Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire) as journalist Dennis Schatzman, and Charlie’s Angels alum Cheryl Ladd as Linell Shapiro.
The cast for ‘Dream Team’ members F. Lee Bailey Gerald Uelmen, Barry Scheck, Carl E. Douglas, and Peter Neufeld have yet to be announced as are the actors portraying Nicole Brown Simpson, Ron Goldman, and the Goldman family.
