Huzzah! Tangled is coming back into our lives, though it was never absent from our hearts. Disney Channel has begun production on an animated show continuing the adventures of Tangled. The icing on this already delicious looking cake is Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi are reprising their roles as Rapunzel and Eugene (Flynn Rider.)
The animated series will take place after the end of the 2010 movie but before the 2012 short film, Tangled Ever After. Slated to premiere in 2017 on The Disnet Channel, the show will cover Rapunzel’s journey to connect with her parents. The audience will get to follow Rapunzel as she discovers herself and the responsibility needed to claim her royal destiny through bold and exciting adventures.
In addition to Eugene, other fan favorites will be making appearances such as Maximus, the royal horse and Pascal, Rapunzel’s chameleon friend. The thugs from the Snuggly Duckling Pub will also be featured as well as a new character, handmaiden and confidante Cassandra. In addition to familiar faces, we will also be greeted with the familiar score from composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater.
