Fans of NBC’s cult series, Constantine, will get one more dose of their favorite anti-hero.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that John Constantine will return to television for one night only on The CW’s hit series, Arrow.
What’s extremely interesting is that Matt Ryan, who starred in the now canceled series, will be reprising his role as the mouthy, cigarette smoking battler of demons.
According to the report, Constantine, which was based on the DC Comics property Hellblazer, averaged 4.5 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the 18–49 demographic. There was a lot of debate that the series would go to Hulu or Netflix, but much like the NBC cult series Hannibal, the streaming services balked.
Below is a tweet from Ryan, confirming the return.
Arrow will make its triumphant return this fall on The CW.
