After Jack Nicholson’s classic Joker acting and Heath Ledger’s thrilling Joker performance, Warner Bros. is set to bring Jared Leto as the Joker in their Comic Cons.’s adaptation of the Suicide Squad coming out August 5, 2016.
Empire magazine showcased Leto’s picture as the Joker, or the Psycho Killer, different from the usual picturization of the Joker.
Wearing scrappy pants, a purple coat, tattoos, and holding a cane, Leto’s Joker has paler skin and electric green hair. In August, Empire magazine revealed the pictures of the rest of Suicide Squad together, without Leto.
The Suicide Squad is a group of villains or an antihero strike team, and features Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Adam Beach as Slipnknot, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
David Ayer’s Suicide Squad certainly holds a star cast, and a great picturization of Leto as the Joker, but let’s hope this resonates on screen.
