Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has reignited the Harry Potter fandom in recent months. Theories, ideas, hopes, and dreams for this spinoff have been circling the internet for a better part of a year. Then a few weeks ago set pictures were released and everyone lost it.
Yesterday, though the film is still in production, Warner Bros Pictures debuted the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The plot: Newt Scamander arrives in New York City in 1926 as part of his research to find and document the world’s magical creatures. He has with him a suitcase containing a myriad of fantastic beasts. The case, at one point, is opened allowing some of the creatures to escape and wreak havoc on New York City.
The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them screenplay was penned by J.K. Rowling who, alongside David Heyman, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram, is also producing.
The films stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Gemma Chan and Faith Wood-Blagrove.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will debut in theaters on November 18, 2016.
