Riverdale has finally found its Archie, while the Pussycats has some rocking news of their own.
The CW has finally found its star character, Archie Andrews, in the form of KJ Apa.
Riverdale, based on the classic Archie comic book characters, is a one-hour drama that was originally developed for Fox, but with the decision being made that The CW is a better fit, according to Jon Goldwater, Archie comics CEO and publisher. All of the iconic characters will be back including Archie, Veronica, Betty and even the Pussycat Dolls.
Apa will play the fan favorite Archie Andrews, while Ashleigh Murray will be playing the coolest cat in town, Josie McCoy.
The news comes shortly after the casting news of other fan favorite characters Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, and Fred Andrews played respectively by Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, and Luke Perry.
