Brian Fallon And The Crowes Bring New Cuts, Covers to Starland

Pop-Break Live: Brian Fallon and The Crowes at Starland Ballroom

One of the Garden State’s favorite sons returned home for an amazing night of music on Saturday March 12. Brian Fallon, the former lead singer of The Gaslight Anthem, brought his new band “Brian Fallon and the Crowes” to play before a sold-out crowd at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville. The new band is comprised of many members of former Fallon projects including: Catherine Popper (Molly and the Zombies), guitarist Alex Rosamilia (Gaslight Anthem), guitarist Ian Perkins (Horrible Crowes) and drummer Mark Stepro.

Fallon performed songs off his brand new solo album, Painkillers, which was released the previous day, as well as covers from past projects such as The Horrible Crowes, Molly and the Zombies, and The Gaslight Anthem. The highlight of the night came from Fallon’s cover of “Atlantic City” by Bruce Springsteen.

Check out the complete set list below and read our review of “Painkillers” here.
