Michael Keaton In Talks for Villainous Role in New Spider-Man Film
It’s Beetlejuice, Batman, Birdman, and Spider-Man?
New reports are spreading like wild fire of the possible casting of Michael Keaton of Beetlejuice, Batman, and Birdman fame, as the new villain in the Marvel Cinematic universe film, “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
No word as of yet on the potential role for this veteran character actor, but whispers around the comic book/cinema world say there is a possibility of it being the famous villain Vulture.
While the irony of Birdman playing a character entitled the Vulture is sure raise some eyebrows and produce a few giggles here and there, whatever role Keaton takes on is sure to be a welcome addition to the Marvel Universe.
This won’t be Keaton’s first time at the comic book to film rodeo, as he famously played Batman in the Tim Burton films back in the 80’s-90’s.
If the Joker was no match for him then, than I guess we will just have to see what Spidey has in store.
The film will be directed by Jon Watts and star Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man/Peter Parker.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is scheduled for release on July 7, 2017.
