10. (Tie) The Punisher (Logan Fowler)
The Punisher has been played by four different actors, but the most recent interpretation on Netflix’s Daredevil has been by far the best, in my opinion. Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle was engaging every moment he was on the screen, and his involvement in the first four episodes of Season 2 cemented Daredevil’s sophomore run as already better than anything that happened in the first season. I really do hope that Frank Castle gets his own show, or at least has more to do when Daredevil returns to Netfilx for a third outing.
Best Line:Â “One Batch, Two Batch, Penny and Dime.”
In the fourth episode of Daredevil Season 2, Frank hides behind a coffin door, uttering this nursery rhyme as goons with guns try to take him out. The phrase that is uttered is a line from his daughter’s favorite book, so while he doesn’t seem like the most sentimental fellow, The Punisher does have a heart still full of sorrow that his family is gone. This is perfectly evidenced by his stating of a line from a story his child adored.  It earns Frank so much sympathy when he confesses it to Daredevil later on.
Favorite Moment: They may call Daredevil the Man without Fear, but The Punisher proves it as he takes down disturbing looking inmates at the hands of the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onfrio).  The scene gives the ho hum middle portion of Daredevil‘s second season a much needed jolt of energy.  It’s a completely bad ass moment, and Bernthal delivers it 100% with a look in his eye that would scare the hell out of any person in his path.
