NXT May 18th Episode

-Up first we see Blake and Murphy, the former Tag Team Champs (believe it or not) getting highly outclassed by the awesome team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Austin Aries. These four put on a good show but what was most appealing was the annoyance from Aries towards Nakamura and Alexa Bliss walking out on B&M after ANOTHER loss. This is probably for the best, as the team was going nowhere and Bliss is already a star in NXT.

-Up next we see Carmella defeat Peyton Royce and here is where problems arise. NXT is only and hour long and these women did not get enough time. Sure, Royce is good and will be great one day and Carmella has improved drastically but you can’t see that in this weak match. Also, Carmella wins.

-Tag team action is up next for us as Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa taking on NXT enhancement talent. Fun match but Gargano and Ciampa were of course going to win. They’ll be great for the future of the tag division.

-This is where NXT shines! Our main event has a rematch from Takeover: London as Nia Jax faces Bayley…and wins! Unlike the main roster, when someone as high caliber as Bayley loses, it doesn’t effect her character because NXT has built her up correctly. Not only that but these women put on a hell of a match and the story told before, during and after was incredible. Bayley is so over and Jax is so dominant that both looked strong, no matter who won.

-NXT opened and closes great but the middle really dragged, as most NXT shows do. I look forward very much to the next Takeover, especially the build up for Finn Balor/Samoa Joe inside a steel cage.
