“Supergirl” casts Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) as Superman
MTV’s Teen Wolf, and former 7th Heaven star Tyler Hoechlin will now be donning the red cape as Superman in the second season of Supergirl.
Hoechlin’s take on the iconic Kryptonian will premiere towards the beginning of the upcoming season, which will start the series’ shift from CBS to the CW. Clark Kent has been an active force in the show’s plot and setting, but was only seen in the blurred footage of news segments, mentioned dialogue, or in an exchange of text messages between himself and Kara.
The Man of Steel won’t be the only new character appearing next season. Casting calls have been placed, revealing the addition of five more characters-including Lex Luthor’s sister and detective, Maggie, as well as journalist Snapper Carr.
Season two of “Supergirl” premieres this Fall on the CW, Mondays at 8pm
