Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr. Rock Night 2 of XPoNential Festival
WXPN, one of the great bastions for independent and alternative music, held its annual XPoNential Festival at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden on the weekend of July 22-24.
Pop-Break was able to make it out to the second night of performances. We were able to watch some of the finest musicians, from wildly different musical genres, perform their hearts out. We were able to catch sets from: the psych/tropical/soul outfit Chicano Batman, New Orleans brass heavyweights Preservation Hall Jazz Band, blues guitar virtuoso Gary Clark Jr., and the baddest soul, blues and rock band on the planet, The Alabama Shakes.
And that’s what is awesome about XPoNential — you get bands from all over the country, performing extremely different genres of music in one setting — and the fans totally embrace it.
Pop-Break’s Saidy Lopez documented the night for Pop-Break.
