POP-BREAK LIVE: DONAVON FRANKENREITER AT THE STONE PONY
The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey welcomed Donavon Frankenreiter on July 11th. The California native has been on tour since the release of his 2015 album, The Heart. His newest album, which was co-written with Grant Lee-Phillips, has been said to be his most sentimental to date.
Frankenreiter began recording The Heart in May 2015. Instead of affording himself and his band the normal privacy of a recording session, the surf crazed musician live streamed his studio time. Fans got the opportunity to watch him as he recorded the album live. Frankenreiter brought his same flair to his set at The Stone Pony.
