Stranger Things Renewed for Season Two
Get ready for more strange things to happen, because Stranger Things has been officially renewed for a second season.
Arguably one of the best (and most talked about) shows of the summer season, it comes as no surprise this Netflix hit has been picked up for a second season. It is reported by Variety that instead of the eight episodes that graced our small screens, we will now have nine to devour in the span of most likely a day.
The Duffer Brothers are set to return as writers for the series, and while no casting news has been confirmed yet, its safe to say we will get a continuation of the characters we came to know and love over season one.
Before news of the second season was officially confirmed, the writers talked a bit about what is to come for our heroes if the show was to be picked up for a second season at the Television Critics Association press tour.
“We want it to feel like a big movie, but there’s a bigger mythology, and there’s a lot of dangling threads at the end. We could explore it if Netflix wanted to continue,” Matt Duffer said, while brother Ross added, “It’s about giving enough so the audience feels satisfied.”
The series is set to be released sometime in 2017, but in the meantime, get pumped with this tiny teaser for season two below.
