Pop-Break Live: Lennon Claypool Delirium at Irving Plaza – August 2016
It was a hot humid night in New York City, and it was the perfect setting for the Lennon Claypool Delirium.
The supergroup, comprised of Sean Lennon and Primus frontman Les Claypool, took over Irving Plaza to present a wild sonic and visual performance. The show was highlighted by Lennon’s famous mom, Yoko Ono performing with the band. She jammed with the band during their last song, a cover of Primus’ “Southbound Pachyderm.”
The band performed songs off their new album Monolith of Phobos, as well as covers of The Beatles, Les Claypool Frog Brigade, Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and Primus.
Pop-Break’s Matt Heasley caught the band in action.
