Pop-Break Live: Yellowcard at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey
Editor’s Note: This is a bittersweet post for for Pop-Break.com. We’ve worked with Yellowcard dating back to 2011 when we reviewed their show at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. We’ve interviewed them numerous times, shot them as headliners and part of The Warped, review their albums, and generally had a most excellent relationship with the band. So to see them call it a day is a true bummer. However, I wish them nothing but the absolute best in their endeavors, and hope we can see them reunite somewhere down the road.
On Sunday, November 13, Yellowcard said farewell to New Jersey at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville as a part of the band’s “The Final Word Tour.”
Since this was their last show in Jersey the band left everything on the stage, and the crowd responded accordingly. Lead singer Ryan Key complemented the crowd throughout the night on how great the crowd was. Their passion and enthusiasm was palpable, and the band absolutely fed off the energy.
Key was truly a master of ceremonies throughout the night interacting with the crowd, and regaling them with tales of the band’s journey.
Pop-Break’s Saidy Lopez caught the band in action.
