The new teaser trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 is out, and despite all the big time special effects and wild action — it was Baby Groot who stole our hearts.
The character, who’s the regenerating version of Vin Diesel’s insanely popular character from the first film, is front and center in this teaser.
The rest of the trailer features the Guardians going to battle with a massive intergalactic beast, and Star-Lord’s secret love for one of his fellow cast mates revealed.
The trailer also features some excellent moments for Dave Bautista’s Drax the Destroyer.
The film, due for release on May 5, 2017 features an ensemable cast featuring: Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bautista, Diesel, Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Glenn Close (Irani Rael), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Elizabeth Debicki (Ayesha), Chris Sullivan (Taserface), and Kurt Russell (Ego). Sylvester Stallone and Stan Lee are slated to have cameos.
