The DCEU Comes Together — The Justice League Trailer Has Arrived
The DC Extended Universe has “come together” in the new trailer for Justice League.
Undoubtedly, this is one of the biggest films in the DCEU, and this afternoon we got a glimpse of the first DC super team. Luckily, the trailer does this monumental team-up “justice” with a high gloss, big action trailer that has this writer intrigued for subsequent trailers. (And if you’re wondering about the come together jokes — there’s an a cover of The Beatles classic, “Come Together.”)
The premise of the finds Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aka Batman and Diana Price (Gal Gadot) aka Wonder Woman recruiting Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) to battle a mysterious force that’s threatening to destroy the world.
The film features Henry Cavill as Superman, who is not featured in the trailer at all. One has to assume he’ll be in subsequent trailers.
Justice League also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Williem Dafoe as Aquaman’s advisor Nuidis Vulko, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, Billy Crudup as Barry Allen’s father of Barry Allen/The Flash, and Ciaran Hands as Steppenwolf. The film also features Amber Heard, and Kiersey Clemmons.
The film is directed by Zack Snyder, who has helmed Man of Steel, and Batman v. Superman.
Justice League is scheduled for a November 2017 release.
