The second full trailer for this summer’s latest Marvel blockbuster, Iron Man: Homecoming…I mean Spider-man: Homecoming dropped today.
Pardon the sarcasm, but diehard web heads may be a little shocked at just how much Tony Stark is involved in this trailer.
Outside of that, the trailer puts heavy focus on Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes/Vulture, the “big bad” of the film. This is the first time Vulture will be in a big screen Spidey film. There had been rumors that Ben Kingsley would don the wings in Spider-man 3, and John Malkovich was to be the winged one in the cancelled Spider-man 4.
In a “blink and you miss it” moment you also get a shot of Bookeem Woodbine’s Shocker character.
We also get a glimpse of Peter Parker (Tom Holland’s) relationship with his best friend Ned Leeves (Jacob Batalon), and even a glimpse of him kissing Liz Allan (Laura Harrier).
The film also stars Marisa Tomei (featured in the trailer) as Aunt May, pop star Zendaya, Community’s Donald Glover, Grand Budapest Hotel’s Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, and guest spots from Cagney & Lacey’s Tyne Daley, comedian Hannibal Burress, Jon Favreau (as Happy Hogan), Michael Chernus (as Vulture’s sidekick The Tinkerer), Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, and of course cameos from other MCU characters like Chris Evans’ Captain America, and Stan Lee.
The film is directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car), and will be released on July 7, 2017.
