Pop Break Live: Dawes at The Fillmore (Philadelphia) – June 10.
Dawes brought their special “An Evening with Dawes” tour to the Fillmore Philadelphia on Saturday, June 10th.
The band are, and have always been, fearless road warriors who’s practice becomes more evident in each performance. Dawes delivered a unique evening of two sets of their music, totaling about three hours of playing time. Their sets included eight songs from their most recent album We’re All Gonna Die along with selections from their previous four releases.
The second set opened with “One of Us,” “Roll Tide,” and “My Way Back Home” played acoustically with Dawes showing off their remarkable harmonies and turning a quiet moment into a powerful and memorable musical experience. The show ended with Taylor Goldsmith leading an enthusiastic crowd through the chorus of “All Your Favorite Bands.” (Check out Pop Break’s review of the album, All Your Favorite Bands).
May Dawes stay together for a long time to come.
