Imagine Dragons Put On An Inspired Performance In New Jersey

Pop Break Live: Imagine Dragons at The Prudential Center, Newark, NJ.

Lead singer Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons glanced out into the crowd while a single spotlight covered his body after the second song of their set, “It’s Time” from the 2011 EP of the same name. The band, who are from Las Vegas, NV were particularly emotional due to the October 1st mass shooting that claimed the lives of 58 music lovers. It was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history in a medium that’s been inclusive and a safe haven to millions.

Reynolds looked out into the Prudential Center crowd which included a ramp that protruded down the middle and expressed his heartfelt condolences for the tragedy. In conclusion, he also stated about the healing power of music itself. How it brings people together and how it will continue.

Imagine Dragons played songs that varied through their almost ten year career including a small acoustic set. This was before concluding the show with “I Bet My Life,” “Believer,” and “Radioactive.” With an elaborate light show and energetic showmanship, fans got their monies worth which will serve as an memorable night in a constant cycle of repairing.
