Pre-Trailer Thoughts: After the success of the Ocean’s 11-13 trilogy, somebody in Hollywood decided that that the original should be remade…but with all women. Okay. Well anyway, despite the fact that they should make more original content with females instead of rehashing old movies, here we are. Ocean’s 8. -LJF

Pre-Trailer Thoughts: I love caper movies, and I most certainly loved Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 13. So, a new caper movie starring some of the biggest names in Hollywood … I’m sold. I agree with my colleague that they should be developing more original content for a cast this big, but given the nature of these films, I think we’re in for a real treat. -BB

Rate the Trailer: 2 out of 5.
The movie doesn’t look bad overall and that cast is stacked, but really, why is this a thing? Did we really need a Ocean’s 11 remake with all women? No. Needless to say, I’m not overly impressed with what I’m seeing here, which is a shame, cause this is a dynamite cast. -LJF

Rate the Trailer: 3.5 out of 5. The trailer was a bit too much like the first Ocean’s 11 trailer. However, I did enjoy and I look forward to it because we got a taste of almost everyone in the cast, and it’s a great cast. -BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? No Thanks. This movie will be in a Redbox one day and maybe I’ll change my mind. But we need more original ideas and this is not adding anything to the proceedings. -LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Theater. You know what — sign me up! This movie has tremendous upside for great fun, and it’s the type of popcorn movie the summer season really needs (especially given this year’s subpar offerings). -BB
