Eminem, The Killers, Jack White to Headline Boston Calling 2018

Instead of sulking in this frigid winter weather, start dreaming of the warmer months and looking forward to one of the East Coast’s earliest festivals of the season: Boston Calling!

The 6th annual 3-day event takes place from May 25-27 at Harvard’s Athletic Complex in Allston, Massachusetts.

This year’s headliners are Eminem, The Killers and Jack White. If that isn’t reason enough to go, you’ll also see The National, Portugal. The Man, Khalid, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, Fleet Foxes, The Decemberists, Tyler, The Creator, Royal Blood, Manchester Orchestra, St. Vincent and many more.

There are even some talented up-and-coming bands like Weakened Friends, Field Report, STL GLD, Lillie Mae and Sandy (Alex G). You can check out the full lineup to Boston Calling here.

Along with all of these incredible bands and musicians, you’ll experience visual arts/film from Natalie Portman and other artists as well as comedy acts from comedians like Jo Firestone, Pod Saves America, Tony Hinchcliffe, Bridget Everett, Jenny Slate and Cameron Esposito.

The concessions and food vendors of Boston Calling seem to step it up each year. To give you an idea of what to expect, last year’s food selections featured food from vendors like Arancini Bros Italian fare, Bon Me Vietnamese cuisine, CopperDome Crust pizza, El Pelon Taqueria, Firefly’s BBQ, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and even Shuck Food Truck for Oysters and lobster. (The list just keeps going!)

There’s also a wide selection of beer, wine and cocktails at the concession stands scattered amidst the grounds. You can even ride the Ferris wheel to get a bird’s eye view of the festival and your favorite performances.

She is a frequent concert-goer, whether they’re happening in New Brunswick basements, Asbury Park venues, concert halls in NYC and anywhere in between. Alternative rock is her go-to genre (i.e. Kings of Leon, Cage the Elephant, Foals, The Maine and lots more). When she isn’t writing for The Pop Break, she works at the North Brunswick Public Library, which offers plenty of Fantasy/Adventure novels to quench her love of reading. Just try not to ask about her next career move, because trust me, she’s working on it.
