Video Premiere: ‘Walking in the Dark’ by Danielle Cormier

ThePopBreak.com is proud to premiere the new video ‘Walking in the Dark’ for Nashville-based singer/songwriter Danielle Cormier.

The song can be found on her debut full-length record, Fire & Ice, which dropped on March 2. The album has received praise from outlets like Glide Magazine who proclaimed Cormier was a “a pure and powerful voice for the new age.”

Fire & Ice was produced by Adam Lester (Adam Lester (Peter Frampton, Jill Andrews), a guitarist for Peter Frampton. Speaking of Frampton, the iconic guitarist makes a cameo on the album, performing on the track “Can’t Quit You.”

Cormier’s road to country music wasn’t a direct path. The daughter of a former horse racer, and actress, Cormier originally intended to pursue acting. She made her way to the prestigious American Dramatic Academy in New York City, but a change of heat post graduation lead her down to Nashville.

Since being down in Music City in 2016, Cormier released a six-song EP, Casino Sessions, and then spent her days writing and performing songs that would comprise her new record.

“The main inspiration driving Fire & Ice is my own yin and yang,” says Cormier. “It’s balancing and embracing the light and dark forces in our lives and, for the past year and a half, while writing these songs, it’s been a theme I dealt heavily with.”
