Pop Break Live: The Suffers with Ikebe Showdown and The Shady Street Show Band at House of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ

The high holy day, April 20, got a little sweeter at House of Independents. The amazing Gulf Coast soul band, The Suffers, rolled into town, and smoked the entire venue with their blazing set. Enough weed puns. The Suffers are legitimately a amazing band, that we’re really high on (not a pun). We heard them last year at the XPoNential Festival, and we’re stoked that House of Independents brought them to town. The band will be dropping a new record very soon, so be on the look for that!

Also on the bill were Asbury Park staples The Shady Street Show Band, and Brooklyn’s “cinematic instrumental soul band” The Ikebe Shakedown, who’ll return to Asbury this summer for Jams on the Sand.
