Sea. Hear. Now Adds Some Reggae, Funk, and Ska to the Line-Up

The Sea. Hear. Now Festival has added a little bit of funk, reggae, and ska to its already impressive line-up.

The funk will be brought by Lettuce. The supergroup featuring Adam Smirnoff, Adam Deitch (Break Science), Erick Coomes, Ryan Zoidis (Shady Horns), Eric Bloom, and vocalist Nigel Hall has risen to the ranks of one of the top bands in the jam genre over the past few years.

The ska will be brought in from the U.K. as The English Beat has been added. Dave Wakeling and the gang have become staples in the Asbury Park scene in the past decade, recently jamming with NOLA brass band The Soul Rebels at The Wonder Bar.

Finally, it wouldn’t be summer or a year at the Jersey Shore, if that sweet reggae riddim wasn’t performed by The Original Wailers. The band always performs at the shore whether it’s the old Joey Harrison’s Surf Club, The Stone Pony, or the nearest big outdoor summer shed.

These three join an already stacked line-up of musicians, and surfers. For tickets, and more information on the festival, click here.
