Our old friends at Hi-Tide Recordings are kicking off summer in a big way.

On Saturday May 26, the premier purveyors of surf rock, present the ‘Hi-Tide Summer Kickoff’ on May 26 at The Wonder Bar.

Headlining the show will be Igor & The Red Elvises — a band that has carved its name out as one of the best surf rock outfits in the country.

Igor’s story is kind of incredible. In 1995, inspired by a dream he had of Elvis Presley, Igor Yuzov fled the former Soviet Union – where rock ‘n’ roll music was illegal. He took refuge on the streets of sunny Santa Monica, CA. The band has gone on to record 12 albums, go on countless tours, and have been on television on shows such as Melrose Place, and Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular. This summer they are on the road with the Reverend Horton Heat.

Opening things up will be two staples of the scene who are making a bit of a return — Plato Zorba, and our old pals, The Brigantines.

Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door with doors at 8:00pm doors and a start time of 8:30pm
