Pop Break Live: Blind Melon at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, NJ
It’s not every day that Blind Melon comes to town.
In early May, the group brought their set of classics to Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall.
The band rose to fame in the early 90s with lead singer Shannon Hoon as their frontman. The band produced one of the most iconic songs of the ’90s grunge era — the psychedelic hit, ‘No Rain.’ After Hoon’s death, due to an overdose in 1995, the band took a long hiatus, reforming briefly in 2006, and then full-time in 2010.
During both reunions, Trevor Warren took over lead vocals, and was behind the mic (and under a cool looking plague mask) during the band’s set at White Eagle.
Pop Break’s Matt Heasley caught the band in action.
