The Parlor Mob is back — and they’ve dropped a killer new single with a video to accompany it.
‘Fourth of July’ was released (as a song) on June 22, while the video dropped yesterday, July 3.
The Parlor Mob was recently announced as one of the first band’s signed to Britannia Row Recordings. The label is owned by James Ho, known to many as Malay, a frequent collaborator of Frank Ocean’s. Britannia Row Recordings is a subsidiary of BMG. For more on the story, you check out the article on Pitchfork.
The Parlor Mob recently played two shows in Philadelphia, and New York City along with longtime friends of Pop Break, Deal Casino.
The Parlor Mob is one of many bands that have emerged from the Asbury Park to signed to a major label deal. They originally were signed to Capitol Records before heading over to Roadrunner Records in 2007. While on Roadrunner they dropped the excellent And You Were a Crow in 2008, and then Dogs in 2011. The band releases an EP, Cry Wolf in 2015.
Like many who follow, support, and cover the Asbury Park music scene, we’re excited to see what comes from Parlor Mob’s alliance with Britannia Row Recordings.
