Asbury Park Favorites to Provide Soundtrack for CBGB at Newark Airport

Whoever thought that CBGB and the Asbury Park music scene would come together…in an airport.

This summer the Asbury Park Music Foundation, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka have teamed up to produced the Mockingbird Summer Series.

The venue?

CBGB’s Terminal C Newark Airport.

Yes, this is a 10-week concert series taking place in the airport, and will feature a slew of musicians from the Asbury Park Music scene. The series started on July 12 and runs to September 15.

Confirmed artists include:

Chris Brown
Emily Grove
Bobby Mahoney
The Apy Brothers
Rachel Ana Dobken
Eryn (Shewell-O’Ree)
Poca

Natalie Newbold of Well Wisher

The series kicks off with our friends, the always awesome Accidental Seabirds on July 12. Subsequent dates includes (as of press time) Drew the Recluse & Miles NxBxDy on July 13 and Chris Brown on July 19. Dates and additional artists to be announced soon.

For every cocktail purchased, Tito’s will donate $1, up to $20,000, to the Asbury Park Music Foundation. Special Asbury Park merchandise will be available at the CBGBs as well. Funds will benefit underserved youth with life-changing music education and provide aid to help the local music scene thrive.
