Did the stars just align perfectly? I can’t imagine a better casting than Ruby Rose in the role of Kate Kane AKA Batwoman.
Kate Kane is the cousin of Bruce Wayne AKA Batman. Kate is a force to be reckoned with thanks to her background in hand to hand combat as well as her very high intelligence. Batwoman is also an openly gay character. The CW has described Batwoman as: “an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.”
This casting is perfect because Ruby Rose has previously played strong female characters, Ruby is also openly gay, and she identifies as gender fluid. The casting for Kate Kane cannot be any more perfect.
Ruby Rose is known for her roles in Orange is the New Black, The Meg, and John Wick Chapter 2.
If you’re a fan of the CW’s Arrowverse (Arrow/The Flash/Supergirl/Legends of Tomorrow) I’m sure you recall that Batwoman would be making an appearance in the next crossover episode events. There is still no known air date. But, we are certain that Ruby Rose will be Kate Kane. And, get hyped fans because it’s already been announced that Batwoman is getting her own CW show as well.
