This review will have spoilers from issue #1. If you’re not caught up please wait to read this review.
In the last issue of The Thrilling Adventure Hour we learned all about Frank and Sadie. World-renowned ghost hunters in a sense. They seem to have seen everything, and are prepared for anything. And, they enjoy their martinis quite a bit. Frank and Sadie had a stranger show up seeking their help to get rid of a ghost in his house.
Their party guests decided to tag along on the adventure. Once the party arrives at the house it’s very evident that the stranger wasn’t lying about the haunting. And, it’s also evident that Frank and Sadie were experienced and almost bored by the bloody show the ghost was putting on. This issue dives really deep into the actual haunting.
The party splits up. The ladies take the upstairs and the men take the basement. And, you get every creepy little detail of the haunting as they work their way through the large house. This ghost is trying really hard to get a message across to the living. Frank and Sadie seem to wish she would just talk to them and make things easier. Ghosts are always so cryptic with their messages.
This issue did a great job of making me laugh and establishing the ghost’s actual motives. Frank and Sadie truly get up close and personal with the ghost in this issue. There were some spooky points to keep readers on their toes that accompanied the laughter. And, the best part is even with getting some much needed answers from this issue, we get even more questions.
You’ll definitely want to pick up Issue 2 because the plot is going in a direction I didn’t see coming. Who doesn’t love a plot twist?
