Quarantine (2008)

If you think animals with rabies look scary, then just watch Quarantine’s terrifying-looking people suffering from a deadly rabies outbreak in a small apartment building. With the found-footage filming style, Quarantine’s infected residents were shown to be fast, aggressive, and relentless as their blood red eyes and foaming mouths were insanely realistic.

Quarantine allowed viewers to get up close and personal as cameraman Scott eventually has to fend off one of the rabid residents with his camera. The build-up to seeing these beings in action is well-executed. For example when they investigate an old woman in her apartment; she seems just frantic one minute, then becomes cannibalistic the next. Even thinking about their monkey-like shrieks as they raced up the stairs after fleeing survivors still creeps me out.
