Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, ‘Stadivarius’ was the second to last episode of the year — so that means it had to have been a filler episode. It did get us ready for (hopefully) seeing Alpha and The Whisperers next Sunday during the mid-season finale.
To be 100% open, I actually fell asleep towards the end of the episode due to my stuff from this weekend. Fearing, I missed something I watched the re-run … and not a whole lot really happened.
The most exciting moments from last night’s episode was Rosita (Christian Serratos) running away from the Whisperer herd. Meanwhile Eugene (Josh McDermott) is left behind in a barn, so Darryl (Norman Reedus), Aaron (Ross Marquand), and Jesus (Tom Payne) head out to search for him.
Throughout this episode, Carol (Melissa McBride) and her son (Matt Lintz) are hanging out with Darryl, on their way to Hilltop. Carol is trying to convince Darryl to head over to Hilltop with them. Darryl has stopped going into the communities as he is dedicated to find Rick’s body. Daryl thinks Rick’s still alive, but everyone thinks he’s crazy for believing that (boy are they in for a surprise whenever they reunite).
Meanwhile Michonne (Danai Gurrira) is taking the new group of survivors to Hilltop. As they’re heading closer she says that she can’t go to hilltop, so Siddiq (Avi Nash) informs her that Maggie (Lauren Cohan) isn’t at Hilltop anymore. Ever since Ricks departure, Michonne has blamed Maggie, and that’s why there’s a disconnection between the communities. Michonne didn’t know that Maggie left Hilltop with Georgie, and Jesus has been running Hilltop since she left.
Looking forward to the mid-season finale next Sunday. Very excited to see the whisperers and hopefully see Alpha and Beta very soon!
