The Ratchets Celebrate New Album, Kick off World Tour at Asbury Park Brewery

Black Friday is often associated shopping, people acting like maniacs, and leftovers.

This Black Friday, Asbury Park’s The Ratchets, will be playing the Asbury Park Brewery on November 23.  The show will serve as the band’s record release party of their new record First Light, which drops on Pirates Press Records.

Produced by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls, First Light, is the band’s first record in over a decade. To celebrate, Pirates Press has put together a box set of the band’s debut EP, first LP Glory BoundFirst Light, and a collection of demos and unreleased materials called Odds & Ends.

The Ratchets, which is comprised of NJ punk and Asbury scene stalwarts, has part of numerous bigger events in the punk scene over the years including Bouncing Souls’ “Home For The Holidays” and “Stoked For The Summer” events and members have gone on to form the group Smalltalk.

The show also kicks off the band’s worldwide tour with dates including:

12/15 – Antwerpen, BE – Zappa (w/ Cock Sparrer, Lion’s Law, The Bar Stool Preachers, CRIM, This Means War)

12/17 – Schramberg, DE – Randale Shop
12/18 – Zurich, CH – Jugendkulturhaus Dynamo
12/19 – Freiburg Im Breisgau, DE – Walfisch
12/20 – Beroun, CZ – Metro Club Beroun
12/21 – Vienna, AT – Chelsea
12/22 – Magenta, IT – Revolution Rock Festival
