Start off with a shirtless Colton talking to his phone camera about their plans for the day.
Date 1 – Group Date
Participants: Demi, Bri, Tracy, Elyse, HAna G., Nicole, Anyeka, Catherine
Prompt: “You never forget your first”
Colton brings the girls to a theater where they are greeted by Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally on stage. They started off by telling stories about their firsts. The stories are full of cryptic innuendos that border on being uncomfortable. The girls are tasked to write about their “firsts” and then they will monologue them in front of a crowd of two hundred people.
Colton starts off with his “firsts” story. He talks about the story when he finally told someone that he was a virgin and never slept with a girl. And when he finally talked about it, the person he told was very accepting of him.
Elyse was the first girl up. She made jokes about how she’s an older woman and Colton was the first younger guy she was dating. Demi commented how brave it was for Elyse to admit that she was older and be proud of it.
Nicole talked about how Colton is the first white guy that she’s ever dated. He laughed at that statement.
Hannah G talked about getting the first impression rose.
Onyeka talked about how she helped Colton from “drowning in some bitches” referring to when she pulled Colton away from Catherine. They didn’t quite show how it related to the firsts theme.
Catherine then talked about how someone came to save Colton from drowning, but then she said, “Guess what, I’m a good swimmer” and then pushed the mic stand down. I also didn’t quite see the firsts theme in her monologue either.
Tracy talked about the first time she tried to date a virgin. There was a whole story about how she fought her friend over a guy who happened to be a virgin.
Demi was talking about how she was going to be straight forward and how this was a story of how she got the first group date rose. She then marched off the stage and kissed Colton in front of all the other women.
Back at the mansion a date card shows up. Looks like the first date card is going to Hannah B. And it’ll be her birthday during the date, apparently! Happy birthday to her.
During the second part of the group date, Colton brings the girls to a cocktail lounge. Demi is the first one to pull Colton to the side. They talked about how bold she was with him during the monologues. She rejoins the girls and it’s clear that the other girls don’t like her so much.
She picked up the rose and joked about how “this is going to be mine” and the other girls, particularly Tracy, was so offended by her even touching the rose. Tracy then sat with Demi and talked to her about how it wasn’t right for her to joke around with the rose, since it’s not hers to joke around with. Demi was compliant but told the camera that it was clear that Tracy was freaking out and that she would be too if she was one of the older contestants.
Colton spends some time talking with the other women on the group date and ends the night by giving out the group date rose. Elyse ends up getting the first group date rose. The look on Demi’s face was priceless.
Date 2 – Single Date
Participant – Hanna B.
Colton didn’t know that today was Hanna’s birthday. They went horseback riding and one of my favorite things that Colton said during this date was “Have you ever seen rock formations like this before?” They parked the horses and pull up to a hot tub and have a very awkward champagne toast. Colton toasts to happiness and being real with each other and challenging each other.
He did a really good job and sounded very natural while saying his side of a toast. Hannah, on the other hand, seemed like she had never heard a toast in her life. She hesitated toasting to anything, and for what was the longest minute of television history, she eventually toasted that it was her birthday. She’s definitely following Colton’s toast and challenging him for sure. Colton admitted that this is not an easy date to be on and really wanted her to open up to him.
During the dinner part of the night, Colton seemed a bit nervous about going into this part of the date. He’s practically begging her just to open up to him and the only thing she’s been repeating to him in various forms was “It’s been a great birthday”. He tells her that the reason he chose her for the first date is that he wanted to learn about her.
She admitted that she’s used to “showing her best self” and being perfect at all times. Once she did open up to him, the first thing she did was ask him why he was a virgin. He told the story about how he didn’t when he was younger and then when he was older it because something he cherished. Hannah told a story about how she wanted to be a virgin till marriage and she lost it during her relationship and that she felt guilty for not having it.
Colton talks with her about how even though it took a while, he was glad to see she opened up to him. He said that this was the Hannah he wanted to see every day from now on, and he gave her the date rose.
Date 3 – Group Date
Participants – Alex, Erica, Katie, Caelynn, Sydney, Tayshia, Nina, Kirpa, Courtney, Cassie, Heather, Caitlin
Prompt – “I camp wait for you to come”
They’re at a camp and are playing camp games, like duck duck goose and red rover. Billy Eichner pulls up with Chris Harrison. They decided to break the group into 2 different teams, and whoever loses the date has to go home, and whichever team wins the date gets to stay at sleepaway came with him.
Red Team- Caelynn, Katie, Alex, Cassie, Heather, Tayshia
Yellow Team- Sydney, Nina, Courtney, Erick, Caitlin, Kirpa
For the first challenge, they do relay races. Both teams race while balancing eggs on spoons and doing wheel barrows. The red team wins the first competition. The second challenge is a canoe race and yellow team wins that challenge, which leaves the two teams tied. The last challenge is tug-o-war. Both teams seem pretty evenly matched, but the red team ends up winning the challenge, and therefore winning the night with Colton. I genuinely feel bad for the yellow team who has to go home and doesn’t get any other time with Colton during this date.
Heather uses her extra time with Colton to tell him that she is also a virgin, but more importantly, she’s never kissed anyone before. Colton said he’s never going to judge her and that he appreciates her telling him. There’s a second that you think they might kiss in that moment, but they don’t. Caelynn sits to talk to Colton about her life story and I am distracted by the super unflattering sweater that she’s wearing.
After talking to all of the girls, Colton decides to give the group date rose to Heather for being so open and honest with him.
The Night of the Rose Ceremony
Courtney is the first one to pull him away and I am in love with the gray dress she wore. She admits that she’s twenty-three years old, and in comparison to Demi, Courtney seems super mature. Onyeka interrupts Colton’s time with Sydney by using an air-horn (because she was feeling horny), well Sydney didn’t appreciate her time being cut short, so she went out with a frying pan and a ladle and started banging on the pan. Onyeka demanded five more minutes, so five minutes later, Sydney came out with a huge soup pot and soup ladle and was banging on it. The other girls are confused at the amount of commotion being done so early in the cocktail hour.
Tracy is sitting with Colton when Demi approaches them while wearing a robe. Demi takes Colton by the hand and leads Colton upstairs. All the girls are freaking out because they close the door behind them, but they show Colton on the bed and Demi giving him a massage.
Demi came down afterwards and the other women asked if she knew what she had done to Tracy, and Demi called it the cougar attack. Demi eventually met with Tracy and gave her some kind of support, but it all sounded very fake.
